Do you feel stagnant in your business? Are you not seeing the amount of growth you used to? These are signs that it’s time to give your business a refresh. But don’t worry, a business refresh isn’t as complicated as it sounds. I’ve compiled 4 easy ways to give your business a refresh to start seeing the growth you’ve been wanting!
Create New Brand Guidelines
First things first, I highly recommend creating new brand guidelines. If you’ve never even had brand guidelines before, now is a great time to start. For your branding guidelines, reflect on the logo and colors you used previously. Ask yourself the following questions:
- Are they up to industry standards?
- Are they aesthetically pleasing to look at?
- Are they a good representation of my brand?
If you answered no to any of those questions, switch things up. If possible, having someone who specializes in branded to help will be highly beneficial. As much as we don’t like to admit, there is a lot that goes into having a successful brand.
Your new brand will help give you the refresh you need.
Upgrade Your Website and Social Media
After you have your brand guideline and logo done, it’s time to apply that to your social media and website. You’ll know when your website and social media need a refresh if any of these apply to you:
- Does it look like your website was built more than a few years ago?
- Are you using generic templates for your social media posts?
- Do you follow more people on social media than those who engage with you?
The best thing you can do is start with the website. This can mean purchasing a new website theme or hiring someone to take care of it for you. If you’re not tech-savvy I highly recommend hiring somebody because a website can be a huge source of revenue for you.
For social media, this is where it’s important to get real with yourself. Don’t be afraid to ask around for tips on your social media. For many of us, our social media is as important as our website and must represent our brand.
Use your new brand guidelines to make high-quality images that look professional and get people interested in your posts.
Refine Your Service Offerings
Once the “outside” of your business looks good, it’s time to focus on the backbone which is your service offerings. If you notice you’re spending a lot of time on tasks you don’t like, consider removing them as your service offerings. If you notice particular projects make you the most money, try signing more clients with those projects. This will make you a lot happier in your business and end up making you more money.
The last thing you need to do is restructure your pricing. It’s very possible that you’re not getting any clients because of your pricing models. Take a look at how much you’re charging for certain services and what that price includes. Depending on what you offer it’s very possible that you might need to offer more package sizes.
Giving your business a refresh are the first steps to growing a successful business. There is a lot more you can do if after all of this you still aren’t seeing the growth you want. If you’re looking for more resources, my blog and podcast are a great place to start!
